Me too, mate. The sooner they put it out the better. I'm getting fed up with people thinking Scorpion Releasing was the new Code Red and of course it'll be great to finally have this uncut on DVD. I do wonder what the quality will be like, though.

PM on the way to you, fella.

"I had no idea that Scavolini was such a money grabber"

Where do you surmise anything relative to this from the blog posting? Scavolini is hardly making any money from this endeavor at any juncture of its realization, nor does it suggest or state such......

Also, don't unconditionally accept any information any profit oriented company posts about itself concerning self-promotion. I am not suggesting anything at the post is false or lies, just don't be so gullible, entities such as this are certainly not going to divulge information, even if it is truthful, that reflects negatively or unfavorably upon any aspects of their behavior and business practices. I also would not be so quick to just swallow at face value the whining "poor mouth" excuses, be they honest, valid or not........

Very interesting blog post. I really do feel sorry for the Code Red owner and hope the site can stay afloat. I can't believe it would cost $42,000 to get the director interview translated into English, but I can deal it with it not being part of the Extras.

I also agree the owner is being sincere and not just putting on a "poor mouth" for sympathy or what not. DVD sales are already horrible all around but compound that with the fact that this is a niche market and the extra headaches associated with this particular release, and I can see why he seems down trodden.

The $42,000 represents the total cost of producing the DVD.

Oh oops, I should've read more carefully.

Code Red is still waiting for the translation. The person doing this is a regular poster on some boards (AvManiacs and Horrordigital I think) and has confirmed he is doing the translating. Though I haven't followed his posts too closely, he has worked with other DVD companies on their supplements and continues to do so.

However!...since he is doing this translation for free, any paying gig takes precedence. The work for CR was on hold as of a month or so ago because this person was traveling to do work for some other companies. Last time I checked, he was saying the translation was less then halfway done.

He should just cut his losses and release the film, I'm getting so fed up of waiting that I'm considering buying a German Bootleg which is something Codered wants fans to avoid. But how long does he think we can keep hanging on, we only have an average 75+ year life span lol
