That ending...
How hilarious was it when that little kid fired round after round after round into George (who mostly shrugs them off)? And then, just for good measure, he goes ahead and grabs the shotgun, and then continues to unload on the dude. The movie was bizarre already but the absurdity reached a fever pitch during this showdown.
Also, who is the kid winking at? He looks directly at the camera. Obviously it's meant for the audience, but it adds a whole new layer of strangeness if you consider that this character knows that he's in a movie. I'm sure the filmmakers didn't think quite this hard about it, but it still strikes me as odd. And for that matter, what is he winking about? Did he know that George was his father? Is he winking because he's going to grow up to be a psychotic slasher like dear old dad? Is he already? Do I even care?
