Another question about the music/soundtrack

So I have the Nighthawks blu-ray, and I'm a Man and Brown Sugar are both heard during the disco scene.
I then threw in my DVD from about 17 years ago (Good Times productions release), and the same two songs are heard.
At this point, it appears that nothing is edited, and the original songs are on both of my discs.

But I understand there was some dubbing, and other songs were used on some discs or some old VHS copies? I could have sworn my 17-year-old dvd had the replacement music, but it does not. So I am trying to find out what tapes/discs/recordings DO HAVE the replaced music?

That replacement music is horrible. Knowing how good the scene is with the correct songs, this basically ruins the scene. Totally destroys it.

I used to own the VHS release from Universal Home Video, and it contained the replaced songs. Also, the 2004 DVD release from Universal Home Video contains the replaced songs.

"Video unavailable"

So Brown Sugar was the original song?
