Filmed in Trenton GA and Lookout Valley TN

When i was 4 I saw Mark Hamill in a local restaurant. I reconized him as Luke in Star Wars and I asked him for his autograph and he gave me his autograph. However, I lost it but still have the photo that he posed with me he was a very nice person and I very friendly to a young star wars fan.

Just out of curiosity, what restaurant was it?
I was born and raised in Trenton, GA.

It is funny to watch that movie and see the old "jail house" which is not standing anymore.

Chow Time

That's a great story! I looked up Chow Time, but could not find it. It has been 30+ years. Would love to go eat at a restaurant Luke Skywalker ate at. :)

I remember taking my then girlfriend (1981) to see this movie at the drive in theater on 23rd street in Chattanooga, Tn. The drive in was torn down and a RED FOOD took it's place and now it is a BI-LO. Here is the kewl part. While it was panning around showing streets in Chattanooga and the surrounding area, it also showed a shot of the exact drive in theater that we were at watching this movie. And later I found out that they used some local people in this movie, some of them are neighbors to my sister who lives in Tiftonia, Tn.

I was 10yrs old, growing up in Trenton GA, when Luke Skywalker showed up in my town. I remember, what seemed like the whole town coming out to watch the filming. A really big deal!! Mark Hamill, Don Stroud, Dennis Quaid were so nice. Still have my autograph from Mark Hamill. I've got a bootleg copy of the movie on DVD, and it is like taking a walk down memory lane watching the movie now. And, it's not a bad flick!
