Where are the zombies

An hour or so into the movie and we see the zombies for what, two... three minutes? A friend wanted me to check out this b-movie, normally I enjoy such things but this was so slow, so jumpy in its logic, and so devoid of even low-budget action scenes that I just couldn't finish it.

Although it's a flawed film, I still like it because it has an interesting and original premise and it takes a fresh approach to zombies. The zombies in this film are not Romero-inspired flesh eaters. They're much more like vampires. These zombies can retain their youthful appearances and live seemingly normal lives as long as they eat human flesh regularly and/or take Gamma 693 from time to time. Once they fail to do either they begin to decay and resemble typical horror movie zombies.

I rated the film 6/10. While Night of the Zombies is no masterpiece and it could have been made better, at least it wasn't boring and it kept me interested for the entire 75 minutes. The unintentional humor (and there's much of it) also helped make this film enjoyable. And it must be said that Gillis was a decent actor.

BTW, there are zombies at the beginning of the film in the camp attack scene.

Have you seen the little piggies crawling in the dirt?
