There's also a possibility of a Blu-ray release if BU feels there's a market for it, so please e-mail them and ask for it if you would like to see it on BD.

Personally, I thought we had lost the chance of seeing a good release of this forever when it turned out the rights Code Red bought from someone were bogus. I'm happy to see Bill Lustig and BU handle it now.

There's a blu ray cover mock up on BU's web site, with order details, so the blu is definitely coming.

Interesting to see it labelled a director's cut...

i have the old vhs and the running time on blue undergrounds website is listed at 109 minutes and the movie runs right at 103-104 minutes with credits. so about 5-6 extra minutes. ill be glad to see a high def version of this. the old vhs is very poor quality, dark and grainy.

You may be right, but I'd never gage the extent of extra footage by RT alone. Footage tends to be substituted quite often in order to keep the soundtrack in sync etc.

Whichever it may be, looking forward to it!

im hoping in those extra 5-6 minutes we get more scenes of Gloria Graham and hopefully a better ending.
