Great movie...amazing atmosphere....

When I was a kid, I remember watching a program called "Hollywood Ghost Stories" and in it was a few clips from this film, such as the driving scene and the hands out of the pond scene, and needless to say, those scared the HELL out of me!!! I dared not watch this then but fast forward to the 35 year old me and yeah, I made it a point to add this to our horror marathon and Im quite glad I did!!!

This film exceeded my expectations in every regard, it was super creepy and quite unsettling as it went along. It had some great death scenes and great performances all around!! The music and direction were top notch and they really keep you a bit off kilter, which IMO, makes for an enjoyable experience!!

I got to see the bluray, too, which was fantastic, and overall, I give this one a solid 9 out of 10!! What say you>???

Yes, I agree. I was surprised to see the 4.5 rating this movie currently has on here. It was the first time in a while that I've watched a movie I've never seen before and felt completely satisfied. I've had a bad streak recently with disappointment after disappointment but then this one came along and broke the streak. I'd describe it as Burnt Offerings meets Friday the 13th which is an excellent combination. As you said it has a great atmosphere, a good musical score, and also interesting characters. I'll even go as far as to say this movie is underrated. I give it an 8/10.
