Autumn Sonata quote (Ingmar Bergman movie)

André Gregory quotes the main character as saying "I could always live in my art, but never in my life." When I watched the Criterion version there was no line that sounded like that in the subtitles. Can anyone help to identify that line? Criterion used new subtitles, I think.
