THE MUNSTERS TODAY was a remake of the classic 60's television series THE MUNSTERS. This little known by original fans remake from 1988 was the first show in television history ever to be completely recast and revived successfully. The show lasted three great seasons and 72 episodes (thats just 1 episode more than the original series).

The show succeeded in bringing new fans to the attention of the forgotten and "long since dead" MUNSTERS format from the 60's.

I dunno. I've seen a couple episodes recently and it's hideous. It's got some great actors in it (Schuck, Meriwether, Morton), but their talents are utterly wasted. The plots were horrible and the actors are clearly walking through the scripts rather than trying to BE the characters. There's no panache, no unique element, or no class to make the remake stand out.

After all, if "Star Trek The Next Generation" didn't get axed because of its first year, then anything is possible.
