Abel Ferrara in person at NY screening of MS. 45

I just came from last night's screening of the classic femanist vigilante/exploitation film of the 1980's, MS. 45 that was screened at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City as part of their Vigilante film retrospective which were also showing DEATH WISH, VIGILANTE, MANIAC COP 1 and 2 as well. The theatre was jam packed and Abel Ferrara himself was present at the screening to give a really entertaining no holds barred Question and Answer session with the audience after the screening that lasted almost an hour. Mr. Ferrara talked and answered questions from the audience not only about MS. 45 and it's star Zoe Tamerlis Lund, but also about the making of his other films, THE DRILLER KILLER, KING OF NEW YORK. his new films MARY & GO GO CLUB and in particular, about BAD LIEUTENANT. Mr. Ferrara was especially very vocal in his own imitable way, about his tremendous displeasure regarding the upcoming remake of BAD LIEUTENANT and it's producer Edward Pressman,it's director Werner Hertzog and it's star Nicolas Cage. All in all it was a really great Q&A with director Ferrara and a real good time was had by the audience at the screening.
