Dogs and freedom of choice (Spoiler)

The scene in which she puts poison in the dog's water bowl and waits to see whether the dog will drink it or not stands out as one of the strangest scenes in cinematic history, and really shows some of the pure genius of Makevejev. In fact, this whole film is so off the wall it's absolutely brilliant.
