"Don't flirt, Christina"

I’ve always loved this line and found it more complex than people may give it credit for. Men are starting to notice Christina over her mother, which of course Joan isn’t going to take… well… lying down.

She exhibited jealousy toward Christina as a child, when she started to gain more attention. The final straw was flirting/vying for attention from "Uncle Ted" right before she was shipped off to boarding school.
