What the?!!!!

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I don't know if a movie can get more boring. I was amazed at how senseless and unfunny this pile of trash was. Who writes garbage like this? Who would direct garbage like this? Who would want to be in garbage like this? And more importantly, who would actually like this kind of garbage? I hate it. I hate it With a passion.

It's an excellent movie. Dabney Coleman turns in one of the funniest performances ever (he likes the films of Mr Martin Scorsese.)
I like this film better than any of Chevy Chase's 'Vacation' films, which were much more popular. This film has a certain 'hipness' to it.

Yes, "Modern Problems" had it's problems, but Dabney Coleman definitely was not one of them. "I'm not a freak, I'm a goddamn good-looking man." I still have a good laugh over that.

And the strung-out Air Traffic Controller with the glasses—the one who's in the lounge with the flying ashtray— his expressions alone got me chuckling and I wish he got more screen time. And calling the ballet dancer Stolichnaya.

If they went full "Airplane!"-esque gagfest with this movie, it would have been just a good as, well, "Airplane!" (which itself was a ripoff of "The Big Bus", but that's OK).

I hadn't seen this movie since I was a kid, and I can't believe in 2012 how much it made me laugh. I just think the humor in movies has been such $hit for at least ten years that people don't even know what's funny anymore.

It's not THAT bad.

But it IS boring. It IS unfunny.

Chevy's personality is SO far from his funny roles in Fletch and Vacation, it makes you wonder what they were thinking when they greenlit this garbage.

I usually like 'superpowers', telekinetics and invisibility are great if done right. But in Chevy's movies, they're done in the worst ways possible.

It's always a bad sign, when NO ONE in the movie is sympathetic, someone you can sympathize with and root for. You don't want to root for ANYONE in this movie, least the protagonist, if he can be called that.

I would just call him Evil, Crazy, Selfish, Psychopathic Jerk, if I had to chose a term.
