Question about Hendrik's wife (spoilers)
I tried to stay up and watch this last night, but I just couldn't.
I got the distinct impression that Barbara was a lesbian that could barely stand him. Was this revealed in the film?
No, it wasn't, but I definitely got the same impression. Later on in the film there is a scene when Hendrik weds her former - ?girlfriend? - and there's another woman that 'parts' tearfully with her, as the two women dance together. That's as far as it goes.
