Did this make anybody else feel depressed?

I'm from Glasgow and saw a lot of downbeat similarities even though the film has dated in certain aspects.

Great performances from Tim Roth and Gary Oldman as always.

I agree that Gary Oldman and Tim Roth were fantastic as usual. I did feel a bit melancholy as well by the end too. It was a bit of a downer.

I found it pretty depressing while watching it (and even cried a few times), but the ending left me feeling bizarrely hopeful.

Yes, this is a beautiful film that I watched several times during the monsoon of 2008. I'll always associate this with the feeling that grey, rainy days bring around.

I guess there is every reason to find this film (and others like it) depressing; but always compelling and even enjoyable when in the right mood.

It is a movie that is tough to watch because it is a bit too real. Things are better (for me) now and you enjoy it more when it doesn't reflect your own life.

In some parts, but some parts were funny, and I cheered when Colin stood up to his parents at the end.
