Turtle scene

I never could figure out why the turtle scene in Cannibal Holocaust is upheld almost unilaterally as the most disturbing scene of animal cruelty in a movie when the turtle scene in Cannibal Ferox is so much worse. In Holocaust, the turtle is dispatched quickly with a chop to the head before he is butchered and eaten. In Ferox, the turtle is forced onto his back and slowly his legs are sawn off one by one as the poor thing squirms in agony. I can't for the life of me wonder why this is glossed over in remarks and descriptions of both movies.

I think both scenes are pretty disturbing but the scene in Cannibal Holocaust was a bit more disturbing because it seems to last a lot longer.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw them cut the head off of the turtle first, then the legs, etc. I thought the legs still moving was because of nerves or muscle spasms. All the animal killing in both films is pretty much normal life though, especially the part where the snake kills the coati, etc... nature is like that; all animals have to eat.

Because Cannibal Ferox isn't nearly as well-known.

They definitely sawed off the legs before the head. Sick stuff.
