anybody .....

hey,is anchor Bay going to re-issue this flick? Folks on amazon want 50 bucks just for a used copy....its ridiculous!!

reply

i heard code red is going to re-release it with a few more special features.

keep your fingers crossed for a quick release because sometimes it takes them forever to release a dvd.

Nice. Luckily I have my AB copy bought back around 04' or 05'. It seemed hard to come by even then. Wonder what new special features Code Red may have. Surely new interviews, but I wonder if they can import the great commentary track.

Cool....thanks for that info, But at this point i dont know if i would ever give Code Red another dime. They are deceptive and untrustworthy when it comes to them sticking by their promises of dvd releases. They lied about the classic "Rituals" and many other films before that over the years. I might pay 40 or 50 dollars before i give code red any more of my hard earned money. Not only do they fail to commit to their release date but they never give their supporters info about the state of the dvd....My point is, it wouldnt matter if it took 2 years for them to be released, it would just be courteous for them to tell us it has been pushed back, etc etc....
I wonder why Anchor Bay wouldnt re-issue madman, they'd make another killing!
Peace and thanks for the reply

I wonder why Blue Underground doesn't re-release it, seeing as they're always re-releasing Anchor Bay titles. I'd like to see this and Visiting Hours get updated re-releases.

code red says limited edition does anybody know how many and will they be numbered editions.
thanks

I received my 30th Anniversary Edition DVd of Madman this morning. The film looks great & there's a good amount of special features. There's a really neat 30 Years of Madman featurette that has a few actors & several crew members. It's amazing how much those folks have aged in 28 years! The guy that plays Max (the camp leader) is still alive but looks REALLY old. Tony Fish (who played T.P.) actually died last year of lymphoma. It doesn't look like Gaylen Ross is in the featurette which is a bummer but overall Code Red did a nice job on this re-issue.
