they just don't make tv movies like this anymore.

Is it just me or were the TV movies from the the 1970's and 1980's vastly superior to the (to be nice) "time fillers" on TV in the past 20 years. Just a few of the really good TV movies from those decades. Including A Long Way Home there was Crowhaven Farm; Larry; Bill; Don't Be Afraid of the Dark; Right To Kill; and The Burning Bed. To my knowledge and in my opinion not one tv movie since has come close to the quality of the movies I listed. What movies do we have now? Movies about locusts and asteroids and meteors and who cares, they're all boring. They just don't make TV movies like they used to.

I totally agree with you. I used to beg my mom to rent this every week back in the early '80s. Absolutley loved it and haven't watched it in over 20 years.
My other favorites: "Don't Go To Sleep", "I Saw What You Did", "Bill", "A Summer To Remember", "Face of Evil". Of course I haven't seen any of these movies in years, so it's possible they'd suck in retrospect. Lifetime Channel has completely screwed up any chance of their being decent TV movies.
