I'm pleased to say I watched this obscure curio last night.
1) You never see more than the head and neck of the beastie - although when "she's" in the water, you do see a bit of the back.
2) The monster does make that noise when it's angry, but it's not all the time. Confusingly able to breathe smoke though.
The Scottish accents on the "locals" (although, tellingly, Americans outnumber the "Scots") were appalling, especially in the case of the Grandad and Granddaughter combo. Sounded like a mad Irish/Cornwall variant throughout.
Despite all this, I had a ball watching it!!!
