Song

Does ANYONE know the song played while the ending credits are being shown? I have tried to find this song for many years and still can not find it. It is a female and the only words I know are "I'll love you forever....." and "And I'll leave you never"

If anyone knows it................you will SO be all that!

Any luck yet? I have been searching for this song for over 20 years! I can't find a soundtrack or anything!!! I'd appreciate any info you may have found. Thanks!

The group performing the song is Asleep At The Wheel, Ray Benson was a group member. They have a website, but as far as I know this song is not on any of their albums.

Me too! I saw this movie as a kid and I've always wanted that song and I've never been able to find it. How frustrating!!

Wow,

And I thought I was the only one looking for this song. I wanted this played at my wedding back in 89. I hope to find it.

I was able to contact a person who is in touch with Ray Benson. I asked about the song and the following is what I received:

"I'm guessing it might have been Chris O'Connell from Asleep at the
Wheel, but it's a guess. Call Ray's office 512 444 9885. They should know. He wrote it."

Now I called the Office and spoke to Ray's assistant, Bridget. I even emailed her and still haven't gotten a reply. I called and left her a message last week.

I would suggest calling that number and letting them know how much we want that song!!!

check this link:

It states that Asleep at the Wheel wrote and recorded the soundtrack. They have one female vocalist, Elizabeth McQueen, who is pictured in this article, so I am sure that is the singer. I searched for soundtracks, but all I could find are references to the actual film.

WOW - after all these years I finally have somewhere to look!! Let's hope if enough people request it, the will put it out somewhere! I LOVED that song!

reply

I am pleased to see how many other people like that song as much as I do.

Anyone have any updates on whether it is available anywhere?

reply

I emailed Elizabeth McQueen who is with the band.

She replied and said the song was never recorded and done just for the movie.

Chris O'Connel sang it and that they may do it in the future.

If you want to hear this song and you want to purchase it, then I suggest you email Elizabeth and let her know.
