Seems like THE LAST CHASE may come true!

Funny thing, but with the Alito and Roberts SCOTUS judges now on the bench, parts of the country will indeed become fascist. Except it won't be from electric cars and outlawed gas.

It will be from the Christian Taliban.

California and other Blue States, will indeed become the Promised Land. It will take years but I would not be surprised if it is within ten years that it becomes a reality. Thse five judges are all for a Supreme President with unlimited power given by God. AND that states can now set their own laws and prosecute those who leave that state and go to a state where the same laws don't apply when they come back.

Dark days may indeed be ahead. I can only hope the morons on the SCOTUS see the long term damage they would do by stripping people of their privacy and civil rights.

Original Poster: You're a total dick. You have no idea what kind of propaganda you have spewing out of you.

To the other guy, Red Barchetta and this film were both based off the short story "A Nice Morning Drive." Neither the movie nor the song were based off the other, and they were released almost simultaneously (close enough together that one couldn't have been based off the other).

and in actuality, this movie rings more true than you say as it is coming to fruition with the claims that oil is running out and moves towards a more centralized intrusive style of government

Hey Daytona Bob, how does it feel to be 100% wrong? I am writing this as California (some "Promise Land") and other Blue States are foundering and are about to go bankrupt, and the fascist nanny state has taken root thoughout the nation--the Obamanation. Our civil rights and privacy concerns are being stripped as I type. Ethanol? A bust. Everything fruitful this government attempts/touches turns rich oil barrels into lethal battery acid. The movie is spot on right about electric cars being peddled as saviors--when they are not. We don't need the Christian Taliban when we have the real thing in The White House.

I can't believe that this little film has become so much of today's big picture.

Wow are you deluded. You go off against Obama while completely ignoring the fact that each point you argue is thanks to your schmuck of a president Bush. Patriot Act? Bush. "The Decider" (how fascist can we be here)? Bush. Turning our crops into useless ethanol? Bush. The destroyed economy? Bush's neverending war (kind of hard to have an ending when you've never defined an achievable objective).

We need to find an alternative to oil & fossil fuels - not only are they horrendous for the environment but they're finite. Liberals would never restrict your freedoms like the totalitarian regime pictured in this film, that's more the policy of the "Decider" "if-you're-not-with-me-then-you're-a-commie" conservative party and the morons they like to elect to lead one of the most powerful nations in the world. No need to think for yourself, the "Decider" will tell you how to think, even though he seems to do a rather poor job of it himself.

wow, how naive can one be? give liberals a chance and they will take away every freedom you have. Honestly, do some of you even bother trying to see the reality of our government? It is all about taking away freedoms. Obama got in and proved he was nothing but another liar. he only added more laws and took away more freedoms. he never intended to do anything. he played us like a cheap fiddle and still you defend him. I couldn't agree more. We have already lost so many freedoms, I'm amazed there hasn't been a revolution over it. And it continues to get worse. I was just told Congress is considering a law that would make it illegal for people to smoke IN THEIR CARS! Yes, it's stupid to smoke now-a-days, but that's not the point. It's still legal. When are people going to wake up, stand up and say "NO!" to the daily attacks on our freedoms and liberties by groups that make sure those same laws do not apply to them? Just tell me where and when the meeting is.

The rightwing Christian Taliban is working over time to destroy the middle class, working to destroy all women's reproductive rights including trying to take away the right to birth control.

Rightwing red states, who are also the biggest welfare queens are becoming more and more Christian Taliban with taxpayer money being diverted by the billions to idiot religious schools claiming things like the Loch Ness Monster is real and is proof that dinosaurs have co-existed with man as was God's plan.

That evolution and science are evil. That only what "god" says in the Buybull is truth. That too much education is bad for you.

That the only laws should be those based on the Buybull.

Yep, Southern states are slowly but surely becoming just like the Taliban was in Afghanistan except now they are the Christian Taliban but otherwise exactly the same.

Really? Ethanol has been mixed with gasolene here for quite a while without any negative effects so I guess you would be talking out of your ass then. How exactly are electric cars not a positive thing? Explain in detail if you're gonna make that claim. I enjoy a nice drive as much as anyone else but I'll be laughing my ass off when fossil fuels run out and people like you will blame governments because you exhausted a natural resource. No last chases then. I never knew that there were people who were actually afraid of public transportation (acting like little children). Only in America...
