Why does Sir Clifford call Mrs. B Connie in the last scene?

Did anyone notice that? Does it indicate he went mad with Connie's leave?

reply

I thought that he said "honey", but I was not paying that close attention. The book suggests that Sir Clifford went on to have a sexual relationship with Mrs B.

How come? He was invalid, wasn't he?

reply

He was valid, but he was impotent.

I think it indicates that he loved Connie and couldn't forget her. When he calls out her name in the last scene he doesn't realize that she's left.

Thats just my opinion.
