Making of featurette on DVD?

I understand the making of featurette for ladies and Gentlemen... was on the movie Rainbowman's DVD. That's a decent flick, (saw it at the Sundance festival) in the mid 90s. Is that featurette included on the Ladies and Gentlemen.... DVD about to come out?

TIA
Robert

reply

No. It's not. It's only available on the "Rainbow Man" DVD as that company own the rights.

The new coming DVD features a remastered picture and sound. The original trailer, a photo gallery, a commentary by Diane Lane and Laura Dern, a commentary by Lou Adler, and maybe some other stuff... music video etc. The "making of" documentary is NOT on the new DVD.

I just watched a promotional copy of the DVD the other day. Why didn't they take a few minutes and clean up the print?? It's scratchy, with flecks of dirt on the film and diluted color. The sound, however, is marvelous.

the audio commentaries are wonderful though - there was obviously a lot of love put into this cult classic - and it is so real - i know some of the bands that played on the road back then (yeah, i know i'm dating myself) and they would play a rock club one night, an army base the next and maybe a college pizza joint on the third night - and being on tours and bills with bands that made no sense together was also common at the time

other than maybe decline of western civilization there is no better snapshot of this period of rock and roll - from a club sense - truly a wonderful film!

I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.
