Singers get a bad rap when they do films, but Fabian always had a likeable quality. He was tough without trying to be tough, yet he was a pretty cool guy to people. E.g. A Bullet To Pretty Boy and this. I have never seen him give a bad performance.

I thought Fabian was very solid and likable as the deputy sheriff in this film.

Yeah, I always liked him. Fan of A BULLET FOR PRETTY BOY. Thought he was an abover average actor. Pretty tough without being 'put on' or a jerk. He is good in this one, and has nice chemistry with Marilyn Burns.
Yes, he and Marilyn were both great. I didn't even know he was famous before I watched this film, so I wasn't biased at all but I thought his performance was very good.
