Stupid Blockbuster Online of course sent me the wrong dvd again! I asked for Just Before Dawn, and got Just My Luck instead! How on earth can you confuse a horror movie and Lindsay Lohan movie? People can be so stupid! Anyway is this movie worth checking out? I really liked Jeff Lieberman's Squirm and Satan's Little Helper, I thought they were both great horror movies.

its not a good idea to ask people "is this worth checking out". the only way to know for sure is to watch it. Some people hate it, others love it. the end.
Personally I really enjoyed it, partially because of the second DVD of a ton of interviews and crap. I agree about Squirm being a good film too.
Thanks I'll have to buy this soon online. Yeah Squirm is great, one of the best killer worm movies I've ever seen.
Edit: Thanks to the good folks at Netflix I finally got to see this movie. I was pretty surprised when I found out who the killers were. Great slasher, and wow what an ending!

this is one of the BEST slashers i have EVER seen! it does end on a very low note. there is so much suspense, that i was shaking when it was over! this is definatly worth checking out! 5 stars ALL THE WAY!!!
shareI agree. This film was made back when filmmaking was still about the art of the creative process and the emphasis it had on the final product, not soley the amout of money it would make in a box office run.
If movies could be given a five star rating in their descriptions when they air on TV, Just Before Dawn would have been one of the ones that receive that many.
It Just watched it, it was alright but wasn't one of the best horrors I have seen.
shareWell, I can warn you of what to expect. The beginning is very good, as the fans of the movie (and even a few who aren't) will tell you. But, and this a big but, the movie seems to nosedive into a prolonged period of boredom that is devoid of characterisation or suspense. If you have seen BLACK CHRISTMAS or WHEN A STRANGER CALLS, you will know what I mean. About 50 minutes or so into the movie, it begins to pick up again, but by that time you might be past caring what happens.
