help with getting a better version than the one i have.

hi,i've just watched JBD for the first time and loved it.But having not point of reference im sure there must be better versions than the uk odeon dvd that i have,tho ive read in older post that this is a good one to get. but its hard to believe as there seems to be whole bits cut out and the quality is dreadful.some one mentioned in an old post that twins grab hold of megans leg while she's swimming but im sure thats not in there.so if anyone can help id be gratefull, thanks.

you need to read the alternate versions" section for the film since I wrote up most of all of it (link below)

the best version to get would be the region 2 PAL CMV laservision dvd.

However if you cannot find that, then the US region 1 2 disc set by shriek show is nice (but slightly cut).

The UK Odeon disc was mentioned because it had many extra scenes (9m ins worth) that were never in any released US version. To make a long story short, that UK disc turned out to be Dir Jeff Lieberman's long lost original version.

This film is getting a 4K release, it's been annouced by Synapse. No idea on the release date yet, could be over a year away unfortunately.

I'll be getting it for sure. Hope it's a great upgrade.
