Pics from filming location

I'm from Oregon, and I went to Silver Falls State Park a few years ago, which is where this movie was filmed. The day I went most of the trails to all the waterfalls were closed, but I did get to see one from the movie. If you're interested, I took a few pics:

Great photos! Thanks for sharing those. I've always wanted to visit and camp in some of the places where these classic backwoods slashers were filmed. Maybe one of these days.

Hey Mark (if that be your name)

I'm Jeff Lieberman and I can't believe you're traveling all that way just to see that location-- though I'd love to go back there myself some day! We shot the picture in July so I can tell you this is the perfect time of the year to do it- it rains pretty much all the rest of the year there. And yes, every mountain you see there is from that location. Don't forget, it's not far from Mt. St. Helens and all the mountains there are huge. There was no second unit stuff shot anywhere else as far as scenery goes, it's all there! Take lots of pictures and post them. best JL

Can I just say that i think you are the most awesomess director ever - especially for the fact that you spend some of your valuable time responding to your fans. I think you are really great to do spend time with your fans and give feedback. I always love reading your posts as it gives me extra insight to your movies. Thanks Jeff!!

Did you hear her? She wants me to kill you with my hands.

"I'm Jeff Lieberman"

Hey man! Awesome you posted in my thread! What'd you think of my pics? Bring back memories?

"all the mountains there are huge."

Yeah, the cascade range has some really pretty mountains and some spectaular views. The view of Mount Hood from the Portland area is my absolute favorite. You showed off the natural beauty of Oregon very well with your movie. Brings back memories of camping as a kid whenever I watch it.

I'm also in Australia, saw this back in the 80s on VHS. The one thing that has stuck in my head is the incredible scenery. I too one day want to mak it to the location. Used to have copies of Squirm and Blue Sunshine on tape too, both of which i loved. Just ordered JBD on DVD, first time i'll have seen it in close to 20 years!

Cool photos!

I'm from Portland so I've lived nearby my whole life, but I've never actually been to Silver Falls. After watching the movie though, I really wanna make a trip there this summer! Oregon is a beautiful state; I definitely recognized the landscape while I was watching this film. Looks like home!
