i just finished this movie and it was pretty good till they returned to the camp to gather their stuff. then all of a sudden in those final four minutes, it felt like a totally different film than what i had started. it was too over the top when she just rammed her arm down his throat. her arm. not gouging out his eyes, biting into this neck even... but arm down throat. my roommate said i had my wtf face on during the whole scene. this has to be the first movie where it was creepy and then jumps the shark and ends so odd and comical. i will give it credit for not doing the obvious where he kills them and movie is over.

I always liked that scene, maybe I am digging into the character development of the blonde girl who shoved her arm down that lumberjack killer's mouth. She was the weakest and most sexually repressed character, her character developed as the film went on and growing balls, so to speak, see became hotter looking (i.e. make up and short shorts) and she was the one who survived when the other guy lied on the ground and watch her fight and win.

I thought "transitions" or "doubling" was a theme with the some of the characters, when the first kill happened in the old church the lumberjack killer puts on a hat (and I think sunglasses) from a previous victim

Their is a possibility these are both coincidences and I am reading into it two much, but Lieberman directed Blue Sunshine prior so he has a bit more rolling around inside his head than most slasher directors.

Was he toothless? If not, he could have clamped down on her skinny wrists!
