I've watched this movie many times and it has the same sort of creepiness (in parts) with Salem's Lot (1979), but of course not as good as Salem's Lot.

The Howling has a very creepy atmosphere.

One of my favorite horror movies!

Defend your phrase “of course not as good as ‘Salem’s Lot.” Why is it a priori that ‘Salem’s (Anselem’) Lot MUST be better than The Howling.
