Aspect ratio?

The only copy I can find is fullscreen, with an aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Is this the correct ratio, or was the original widescreen?

I just watched it on DVD and it was the square, old TV-type picture. Great movie though.

It was made for TV so no widescreen.

No, it actually wasn't made for tv.

I saw it aired on cable in approximately 16x9 (1.78:1).

I saw this in the theatre in '79, it was not in a widescreen theatre, but an older (actually, lovely art deco theatre, now - sadly, demolished)theatre with a regular old fashioned type screen, so I think it was made that way. It was an independent film before independent films were popular.
