more children in the book

Elinore had more children who survived and thrived. The book Letters of a woman homesteader tell the real story and it is fascinating! So to make yu feel better, they do thrive and have a big family.

Elinore was a healthy woman until later in life, while helping with a piece of machinery which was typical for her----she was badly injured. She never recovered back to her former glory.
i found this out by looking her up on internet.

I am reading the book now for second time. This is about people who made sacrifices, not to JUST "settle land" in order to advance the frontier. They couldnt see the future down a 100 yrs. They didnt care about all that, they wanted a new start and an adventure...
hey worked the land for themselves and their kids. And that is what made the west come alive.

People like mr stewart and elinore exist today in all these states. Nebraska wyoming the dakotas minnesota and idaho! And even Texas has undeveloped land.
great book.
