Gave me nightmares....

As a child this movie made 2nd place to INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS in how many nightmares it gave me, my own brother knowing this made a ceramic hand in art class at school just so he could put it on my bed and scare the hell out of me damn i was angry.

But you know what my father did to ease my fear? He said he has no worries about the hand attacking him, get this he said "I have 2 hands of my own so what do I have to worry about"?

If you are talking about the 1978 version of Body Snatchers, then I concur. It was an overwhelmingly depressing and oppressive experience. It was very effective.

I did have a nightmare the night after watching this movie (I watched some of it again just before bedtime with the commentary on). I think it's the image of Michael Caine (as Jon) screaming towards the end, just before being admitted to the hospital.

Wasn't the worst nightmare but it would qualify.

I agree. Except for the fully frontal naked woman in one scene, I enjoyed that part.

This movie and Peanut Butter Solution gave me nightmares as a kid.
I just remembered it when a friend said something about the movie Idle Hands. Out of nowhere I remember this. I'm watching now for the first time in over 20 years. God, no wonder I had nightmares lol
