Opening credits on AMC

Did anyone else notice how ridiculously sped up the music was on AMC? Kind of ruins it. At least it's not noticeable when people are talking.

reply

I sure did notice. And another thing, they edit out very simple, basic bloody spurts or something tame, yet show the extreme gore they show on Walking Dead on the same station. That's confusing.

AMC is the worst.

CJ,
They have HALLOWEEN II on DVD at Walmart with a cool cover that glows in the dark.

reply

I know, Mem. They didn't have it when I went, so I ordered it off the website. Its cool. I'm just upset, they have the 2001 barebones DVD underneath.

It might be the 1980s NBC television edit? These include all kinds of silly edits. Actually pretty funny if you're up for it. I have a DVD and VHS copy if I want to want the theatrical version.

The tv cut is the worst.

Plus the editing is awful.

The TV cut is very poorly edited, but I kind of like how they show Jimmy to have survived at the end in the ambulance with Laurie.

Oh, some individual scenes are great. That one you mentioned, the Hunt/Loomis walking to the elevator, Michael throwing the pillow out of anger after stabbing it, and closing the door. But overall, bleech. Jimmy slipping in the blood BECAUSE of the explosion, the way the Marshal is killed, that weird insert of Michael's face from the hot tub scene, and that's what causes Mrs. Elrod to scream. Just horrible stuff.

Yeah I agree completely.

Why they couldn't even show the blood on the cutting board makes no sense. It was just blood, not someone getting ripped open, and her screaming because of his inserted face is the worst. No nudity, or cursing. I really despise the tv cut. Especially since the theatrical version is so classic.

Yeah it's definitely the inferior version for sure. I will say though that the TV cut does correct one error that always bugged me in the original version. The original showed the news broadcast of the three murder victims being discovered way before the scene in which the police say that they "just discovered" the victims (one of them being Annie, etc.). The TV cut reversed these two scenes and showed them in the opposite order so that it makes more sense, the cops now discovered the bodies and then a little later it's on the news.

You have to admit that was hilarious.

Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years.

reply

Hilariously ridiculous. So obviously out of place.
