Karen was way out of his league. But he made an excellent dead horror movie boyfriend.

Karen was way out of his league.

Agreed. I could see Karen going for someone with Bud's personality, but not someone with Bud's face.

reply

He was pretty sleazy. You could tell women were sex objects to him, nothing more. I don't think he could've had a true relationship that would make someone happy.

reply

Yes he plays that part well. He was also I. The Accused with Jodie Foster and....you guessed it....was one of her attackers/rapists!

Yes he plays that part well. He was also in The Accused with Jodie Foster and...yep, you guessed it....was one of her attackers/rapists!

reply

He never touched her. He was one of the ones who was instigating it, didn't stop it, but he was the one doing all the yelling, the others took turns though.

"He came home." - Dr. Sam Loomis from the original HalloweeN

reply

Ah...ok. I knew he was in the bar that night and also in the court proceedings, but it has been a long time since I've seen the movie so obviously I didn't EXACTLY commit to memory who did what. Thanks for clarifying. I suppose it still lends to the point that he's good at playing jerks! Haha!

reply

Yes it does. Ironically he wasn't even supposed to be Bud, but his friend Rick Rosenthal went to bat for him and he got the part. He's a good actor, I'd actually like to see him play a nice guy for once.

I know him from Analyze This other than Halloween ll.

RIP Tony Burton. RIP George Kennedy. RIP Doris Roberts. You were wonderful in ELR.

reply

Yes, Dave, I agree. I love seeing actors go against type. Say portraying a few bad characters, then later a kind character. OR vice versa.

reply

Agreed, Kimru.

reply

Didn't the Budd character mention a younger brother!? Or, am I thinking about Jimmy mentioning it?

If it was Budd, it would be hilarious (either way for him to play another character) and much welcomed if he played Budd's younger brother, now aged, in a sequel - even if it was just with the same amount of screen time.

reply

just replied in the script thread

Jimmy's brother was Ziggy
Budd's brother was Mark

Jimmy mentions both while they are in lounge as he is flipping out over the killings getting a little to close too home for his liking

like I said - the actor could have a small part as Mark - would be a really nice wink, and would provide some continuity - one upping the Rob character from Friday the 13th The Final Chapter

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

I could see it now

"About 30 plus years ago this sick-freak, this monster, came after his sister, and my ol' brother Budd just happened to be working the graveyard shift - that sunuvabitch. Good ol' Budd though, always good for a laugh - they found his body naked on the ground, with a nurse, this beautiful woman with her face burned off in the room next to him. We use to joke for a few years afterwards, we'd ask Budd 'you couldn't have been found in the tub next to her?' - poor Budd didn't score that night. I'm telling you, I'm gonna' get that *beep* Myers."

Who you talking as, Dr?

reply

Budd's younger brother that is mentioned during his convo with Jimmy in HII

(paraphrasing) - "That could have been your younger brother..."

reply

I believe his name was Mark, and Jimmy's was Ziggy? That's an odd name, the latter one.

bingo^ - I was too lazy to go back and check

I actually had one little league teammate with a nickname "Zeek" because his last name started with a Z

Ziggy, for all i Know, is a comic strip "See you in the funny papers!"
Funny enough, that was a great 80s line when saying goodbye to someone back in the day.

reply

Ohhhh. Gotcha, Dr. And it's still a great line. Lol.

lol.. that would be me where do I know you from?

reply

Yep. He was the old man on the set. Aside from Pleasence, that is.

reply

I just kept on calculating the age and didnt seem right he didn't look that age. I remember him on a criminal intent show...

reply

I saw him in the Accused. He looked slightly different (hairstyle) but otherwise didn't age poorly. Didn't hit me how old he was until I saw him in the making of Halloween II featurette on the Scream Factory Blu Ray. Even then, he looked good for his age. He was the elder statesmen.

He freaked me out when he said in the Halloween II featurette ''I'm Prejudice'' & then find out he was talking about the sequel of being a success...

Always remember...Don't be a sucker.

reply

I remember him, in Analyze This. He put on some weight in that.
