I like both - They both pick up where the original film left off.

I love Debi Sue Voorhees:

Between the 2, I like Friday better. As a franchise whole, I like Halloween, but this once they actually beat them. I did like the continuation, the introduction of Jason and all that came with it. Halloween II was a mess, from unneeded gore, the studio wanting this, Rosenthal/Carpenter fighting it really did them no favors. Friday was much more smooth and stuck to it's original what works formula.

Firstly, since when does David NOT like Halloween II? And secondly, Halloween II by a country mile. All the Friday's are garbage.

RIP Tony Burton. RIP George Kennedy. RIP Doris Roberts. You were wonderful in ELR.

i respect your opinion but why do you hate the Friday's so much. i thought for sure you might like F13th 1 to 5 because they have good atmosphere and are actually pretty scary.

are there any slasher type movies you like besides Halloween 1 and 2?

reply

I dislike the Fridays with the white hit intensity of a thousand sins because it's preposterous. Carbon copy of Myers, and he should've been dead after being buried. The way he was brought back to life over, and over made me vomit. I like Freddy okay, and we've talked about how much I enjoy the Psycho's. The first Chucky was good. I just don't like Jason.

You're an idiot. Myers was brought back to life over and over too, starting in the first movie (6 gunshot wounds to the chest is not a survivable series of injuries without immediate medical attention). Then he was shot more times in part 2, including a shot through each eye, which would have been fatal as well, not to mention cooking in a fire for a long time. Those aren't the only instances in the series either.

Also, Jason wasn't buried until the end of part 4, and he wasn't in part 5 aside from hallucination scenes (the person you replied to specifically mentioned parts 1 through 5). For that matter, Jason wasn't in part 1 either, and his mother wasn't a copy of Michael Myers at all, let alone a "carbon copy".

Now, now, Barney. Maybe, de-evolving. Lol.
