Anyone else have this? The sound is really wonky on it. You can really hear it in the quiet parts with faint white noise. There's like a swirly, phasing quality to it like it has severe MP3 compression or something. Anyone else notice that? Really annoying.
Is this the Universal version? If so, they at one time offered replacement discs. I know they did the same for the Akkad Presents omission. If it's the Shout version, that too was fixed and issued a replacement. Not sure if it still applies now, but wouldn't hurt to email them and ask.

Nice. Hope it arrives soon. Good luck. BTW It only comes in a protective sleeve, not another full on box/case. So keep the one you have, toss the old one and put the new one in there.

I'm surprised that after 4 years they're still releasing the defective disc. Unless you bought it years ago and didn't watch it until recently. When I ordered the Blu-ray box set I kept hearing about how the audio for part 4 was out of sync for the first 20 minutes or so and to send it out for the replacement but when I got mine the replacement disc was already in there because they just put the standalone Halloween 4 Blu-ray disc from Anchor Bay that had the flames on it in there instead of the Shout Factory edition with the original cover art. Sometimes you luck out. I ordered my box set in 2015 and it originally was released in 2014 so within that year they made the correction. If you're getting the old defective DVD than that tells me Shout isn't as interested to remedy the DVD version since it's a dying format.
I ordered my copy used from Amazon, so it was probably a case of someone having an old copy hanging around. I'd be curious to know what one would get if they ordered it new from Shout Factory now.
I primarily shop online through Amazon and that might be the case. I'm not sure, maybe ordering from Shout directly has it corrected? They do their best to try and do right by the fans. But when I sent my Halloween II Universal Blu-ray back for the corrected "Moustapha Akkad" title card it took less than a week to get the replacement. Shout has a good track record and I think other studios and distributors are taking notes.
Yeah. I was very happy with how quickly they responded to me and sent out the replacement. Especially considering I bought my copy second hand off of a third party. That's doing good by your customers!
