The Significance of....*SPOILERS*

What did you think the significance was of Naoh and Ika looking up at the Moon at the end of the film?

To me I thought it represented humanity's wondering at the mysteries of the Universe, and kind of hinted at future curiosities that would lead us to other inventions and adventures. Anyone else? What were your thoughts?

reply

yes good comment could be that

What did you think playtoyer?

I took it as an early example of man as a species beginning to use his mind to wonder at things more abstract than the immediate needs of eating, defending, and procreation.

yes looking at the star also means lookings at their mythological stories or maybe their beliefs or something reassuring because always they live in a very hostile environment

I think it's meant to symbolize the sense of wonder and the fact that some sort of progress is being made in terms of cognitive development.

Or they could be waiting for the black Monolith to come and get things a movin'.

I think it was meant to pose your very question.
