God Damn DVD!

I bought the DVD today, I watched it, And holy sh!t!! Do you know how horribly they mutilated this movie? They completley stripped it of all the gore scenes! COMPLETLEY!! This version is as dry as a dessert! God Damn the Censors!

Dont worry i purchased the uncut version from exploited cinema and to be honest the uncut version has to much hype around it. The uncut version is not that gory and the infamous unborn baby eating scene is rubbish. not to mention the dvd box is huge it stands out from the rest of my other dvds like a sore thumb.

get the big fish release its uncut region2 there is not a lot of gore though so i dont no why its uselly cut but the baby eating scene is cool its quite unrealistic but you dont see a baby being eaten by mad cannibal killer every day and it will make you jump towards the end a couple of times, this is better than other nasties out there (cannibal ferox-house on the edge of the park)

The FX guys actually used a skinned rabbit for the foetus eating scene.The gore in this is very unrealistic but it's still a classic spaghetti splatter flick,I got the uncut R1 Shriek Show dvd set.

gax007-1, let's be serious! Anthropophagus is a great film, but how is it better than Cannibal Ferox or House on the Edge of the Park? Those are both stupendous exploitation films!

I did notice in the promo trailers for Anthropophagus on the Shriek Show DVD that there was a scene or two in them that didn't make it into the final movie.The most notable being where the blind girl's head is pulled through the roof by the cannibal man, in the promo trailers you see all the skin being stripped off her face as she's slowly pulled through the jagged tiles, this doesn't appear in the movie!
