No, the Original Soundtrack was made by italian composer Marcello Giombini using his ARP 2600 Synthesizer and a Vocoder for the eerie Choir Sounds.
And yes it is kinda weird, but it fits imho to the atmosphere of the movie very well !

What you hear ist the music from the Original Trailer. The Sound was a little enhanced !
shareI believe Giombini tried to copy (or was inspired by) Ortolani's music for Cannibal Holocaust, which is quite apparent in some parts.

Giombini adapted for Antropophagus the Music of "Clockwork Orange" from Wendy / Walter Carlos which is in fact a adaption of Henry Purcells " Funeral Music for Queen Mary" (1649)
