I'm trying to either find a copy of grendel grendel grendel on DVD, or obtain permission from the copyright holder to do so. My VHS copy is starting to detiriorate, and I just can't afford the $90-175 that is being asked for it. If there are any ideas, please let me know.

I have been looking for it everywhere and I don't think it is on dvd. I do not even have a copy at all. This may sound silly but could I buy a crappy vhs copy from? Atleast that will hold me over until it comes out on dvd.
shareHi, I just bought a pirate DVD off EBay. The quality of the copy was pretty dang good, considering it was probably based on a videotape of one of those rare early 1980s airings on cable. And whoever did it made a pretty nice wraparound cover and DVD label.
So just check EBay and set up an ongoing search for the film.
I was happily surprised to discover that my local library had a copy of the VHS tape. I live in Toledo, Ohio, and our library system is a gem, an impressive collection for a mid-level city -- I'm not sure where your local system falls on the scale.
