Ok so i know how much everyone hates remakes, myself included, but after i saw sorority row, which was SO GREAT, i became inspired.

Although it wouldn't be a remake, it would be a new idea taken from the same concept, much like prom night was. my idea was not a remake, but a whole new idea on graduation day.

What's my idea? i'm there: a mysterious killer stalks and kills a group of high school seniors a week before their school's graduation. Same concept right? Different: the killer is murdering the school's yearbook superlatives in the way they were voted, i.e., best smile has her teeth ripped out (gross right!), smartest is killed in like a library, and more stuff like that.

Still new to writing scripts, but i'd love to hear some feedback. still unsure of somethings, such as what the killer should wear...

that's actually a pretty good idea. who's the killer gonna be? gotta be someone on the yearbook committee

I actually never thought it would be someone on the committee. that's kind of a good idea.
I'm kinda conflicted with who the killer should be. for the longest time, I was going to make the killer the former best friend of the protagonist who is really brassed off about being "forgotten." The movie would start with the protagonist as a child telling a girl he liked her. the audience would see someone holding an axe, but that's the mystery. Flash forward to the week of graduation day and the best friend has been left behind as the protagonist has been dating the girl from the beginning of the movie, thus becoming friends with all of her friends. In the end, the killer explains that he wanted to get rid of all of the main character's new friends because he didn't fit in with them and that he would never find another friend like him.

A red herring that now i am considering making the killer is a janitor who thinks he's one of the students, acting out murders he committed years ago. That seems kind of lame, though. like freddy kruger or something. I just thought as it ended, it would be really creepy with a "new" janitor slowly mopping the floors of the high school.

now that i've thoroughly confused both of us, i think i'll just write until i get there.
