Did anybody notice...

When Patch Mackenzie's character discovered who the killer was she runs out of the house, and runs down the street to the football field. She passes a few houses on her way to the field. Couldn't she have stopped at one of the houses, and asked for help?
And what was with Patch's character walking into houses unannounced? Didn't she hear of knocking on the door, and waiting to be invited in?

Mike- a real life Patch Mackenzie fan. Really, I am.

Two possibities:

1. Considering she was in a total panic, she probably didnt think about doing that at all. But then, had she stopped at a house, we wouldnt have that shot of her running on the track to escape the killer. (complete with a flashback shot of Laura just before she died)

2. or just really bad screenwriting.

Two more possibilities:

1. The killer (I forgot his name) told Patch to stop by after graduation. He probably just told her to just walk on in and up to his room.

2. or our frind the continuity error strikes again!

I saw this movie three times in a year and a half period, and I must admit its a very unique slasher film. Its just too bad Troma had to distribute it.

I saw the Legacy DVD release, and was bland. I read the they used a VHS tape for source. Egad, how bad is the Troma? Is the film uncut?

The movie is not that bad considering all the other slasher stuff that made the rounds during the 1980s

The Troma disc isn't great but not bad either. Worth picking up if you want to own it. The film was low quality anyway, so you know what you're getting.

True that buddy. The film is horrible but cheesy and that's why I love it. The editing/acting was horrible but I love the music and it does have some good spots. and the so bad it's good moment...the scene with Linnea Quigley running from the clumsy killer to the sounds of "Gangster Rock."

Then the song is ending..."Yeaaaa...yeaaa, yeaaa, yeaaa, yeaaa, yeaaa"...and it ends on the stopwatch click. Ha!

Sorry, forgot to mention that the film is the same version released. There is only one version I know of. The "uncut" lie is just a way for Troma to try and sell more DVD's.

My only explanation for her not going to one of the houses is that slasher movies are always better with chase scenes at the end!

Why are you reading my signature?

She knew the grandma couldn't hear and that the afro dude was making a statement to the police.

Why didn't anyone notice the smell of Laura's rotting body in her boyfriend's house?!

reply

Ya got me on that one.

He plainly noted that she had been buried and everyone supposedly forgot about her, except him. So he got the body out of the grave and presumably covered the grave back up so no one would know her corpse was stolen. Since the body was embalmed it didn't smell because it wasn't a rotting body. What you'd smell is embalming fluid.
