Grammatically incorrect, yes. But coincidence, or intentional?
Or, am I reading too much into it?
Interesting. Probably just a coincidence. But there's no doubt Eva/Alma was a jackass, plotting to kill the completely innocent Wanderly brothers.
And I don't care about the book Eva (book was boring imo), I'm referring to the evil ghost of the movie. Why can't she try to communicate rather than be a slut, terrorize, and kill?
