Best DVD transfer ? This film deserves a better release...

I love this film, but my DVD copy looks like a 2nd generation VHS transfer. It's definitely not a bootleg DVD, but i was wondering if there are any copies out there that have a much better picture/sound transfer ?

Mine is a region 1 ( USA rated R ) Time Life Films release - not sure what year this specific DVD was printed and released...sorry
