Feels like a Dalton film
This film really strikes me as having the feel of a Dalton film. I really enjoy Moore's lighter take on Bond but Dalton is my favourite and it really has a grounded and realistic feel to it as well as being a little dark as well.
I found Bill Conti's score rather refreshing too although it does miss the John Barry touch but a change was nice.
Personally I find that there isn't a Bond film up to and including Goldeneye that I don't find extremely watchable and this film is no exception. It may be a little too po-faced at times but it's classic Bond nevertheless.
Good stuff but I wonder how it would have been if Moore went from Moonraker straight to Ocopussy and For Your Eyes Only was the third Dalton film?
