Radish Was So Annoying

I HATED him. He was by far my least favorite of the film (followed by the terrible final girl) Horribly acted, stereotypical; there were no redeeming aspects to them. I was SO glad when Radish died, I just wish the final girl had as well

I don't agree with you on this. I really liked Radish, and the lead. I thought they were both likable :).

reply

I agree. Radish annoyed me and the Final Girl has to be one of the least attractive heroines to grace the screen.

reply

Beyond the fact she wasn't attractive, she was generic and horribly acted, the two qualities I hate most in a horror heroine

Terrible movie too

The movie was perfect! Deal with it ScorpionTDC!! :p.
No, really I think it was very good.

reply

LOL!

NO! It sucks and YOU will deal with it Generic forgettable cast, 50 minutes or so of nothing happening, bad kills, bad acting, the annoying leads, the bland killer. It's one of my least fav. 80s slashers (Alongside To All a Goodnight and Graduation Day)
Honestly though, to each their own Glad you got enjoyment from it.

I respectfully disagree with you; Radish was my favorite character in the film, and totally relatable (at least, to me he was). I thought he and Courtney would have made a cute couple I was pretty crushed when he died, honestly

The Radish character was original for the era and far ahead of his time- directly inspired Randy from Scream! Wildman was quite incredible too on the brainless jock scale. He gave an outrageous candid performance lol
The characters were fairly multidimensional and offbeat when you closely examine them... The classic stereotypes were somewhat present but weren't strict by any means. For starters the characters were actually all friends.
Radish for example was seemingly the "nerd" stereotype but was friends with the jocks, women, and was a hip horrorhound!
I see this as a clear predecessor to Scream.

He got such a hard on when he found out people got murdered. He deserved to die. He probably creamed his panties as it happened.

He had a poster of The Toolbox Murders (1978) in his dorm room. He is forgiven.
