The Books Ending Shocked Me!

After this movie came out & I saw it, I was standing in the checkout line at my local supermarket. Just so happens that they had the novel of "The Final Conflict" on the news rack, so curious me, picked it up & flipped to the back of the novel to read the ending.

Now in the movie after Damien is stabbed with the knife we see him walk up towards the clearing & Jesus appears. Then Damien says "Nazarene, you have won......nothing" Imagine my surprise when I read the book & it said "Nazarene, accept me into thy paradise" Soooo Damien tried to pull a fast one & asked Jesus if he could go to heaven!! Wow now that's a turn of events!

Well I see how the movie didn't end that way because I don't think it would've been received well,, but it was eye opening that the ending of the novel itself was significantly different to say the least.

I never got my hands on any of these books, but it does sound kinda interesting. Lol, does Jesus respond? "Uhhhh.....no"

Thing is I don't know, I mean I jumped to the end to read what they had & when I read him saying that I was like "Whoaaa!!" But look at this way, what's the worst that was gonna happen to him? Was he going to hell or something? LOL!

I read the novelisation of Damien: Omen II, it was quite fun.
