OMG. I am watching this on a cable channel 'Movies' and

it is soooo bad! That song "Heart's not Diamonds" is utterly hilarious. How could she perform that with a straight face.

I think I watched the same broadcast you did. I have to admit, the musical portions elicited some unintended laughter from me. I wasn't surprised to learn that that song was nominated for a Razzie. I mean, I like Lauren Bacall, but she is not much of a singer. Little wonder that all her other "songs" were spoken rather than sung.

Also, I'm completely baffled as to what the plot of this so-called musical is, or if it even has a plot.

LMAO. I'm watching this right now and having a good laugh. Were any of the people who made this brought up on charges? :P

ROTFL!!! I'm watching it on Movies cable channel right now and just barely got through Hearts not Diamonds just now. I grew up on stage, but even for 1981 this number was cringe worthy. LOL. It's supposed to be a suspenseful thriller, right? Putting the camp into it totally throws this movie way off.

Kept thinking it had to be the tackiest movie version of what's supposed to be a glamorous stage production since that "Oscars" scene in "The Bodyguard" (which one critic said something to the effect of looking like it had cost less to produce than an episode of "Entertainment Tonight"

The movie would have been better without that tacky Broadway number at the end.

And, yes, Bacall was a legend, but singing was not her forte.
