Who teaches their own dog to attack them when he first walks into the door?? thats insane.

not to mention how unrealistic it is for the dog to so quickly turn from killer attack dog into " i love you master. where you been" loving happy dog.

i dont know but the whole dog thing just irks me. oh yes and now that hes taught the dog to attack like that he yells at the thing when he does it at a time hes not supposed to.

crazy.

Not to mention that any native New Yorker would be extremely irate to have some idiot neighbor who comes home late at night disturb everyone in the building with his barking dog playfully attacking him (one of the many idiocies of this movie, despite the late Roger Ebert's glowing review), but apparently he must be the only tenant in that building since no one calls the police when Chris Plummer attacks him and creates that extended ruckus in addition to Sigourney standing around uselessly during the fight and not even screaming until she sees who the attscker is; ludicrously unrealistic. And all the smart-ass quips in the movie does not make it worth watching

I guess the logic is that he's a bit messed up from the war and needs something like "play"fighting with a combat dog now and then to keep him off the edge.
