Heaping stinky pile of dung

What a pathetic joke this movie is...just utter horse $hit

reply

The title of your post was just your 'review'...

Great film still.

reply

I thought the title of his post was his self-evaluation ...

reply

You come to a discussion board and give no examples for your (ahem) "review". Kinda hard for those of us who like the film to defend or even discuss.

So all I can say is, I respectfully disagree.

reply

If is not clear for me, hopefully you can clearify. Are you talking about the movie or did you see yourself in a mirror?

reply

An excellent and well thought out review sir.

reply

Though not perfect this movie is one of my favourites, beautifully shot.

reply

Goodbye.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

reply

Well, you know what they say.

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one and they're usually full of sh!t.

The OP might have been brief in his commentary, but he is 100% right. This film is bad; laughably bad. The fighting scenes look like the performers are desprately trying not to hurt each other, every single line is overacted, the dialog is ham-handed and unintentionally hilarious, the plot meanders. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought this movie was a parody of sword-and-scorcery epics.

I just saw this movie for the first time yesterday March 13th 2015... and found it cheesy, dated (fake green gel lighting from the 80s in the middle of the forest), cheap props (swords, armors, weapons, sets), and the dubbing is horrible... Reminded me of some of those Hallmark Channel movies from the 90s.

reply

I also agree with the OP. It's horribly acted, badly dubbed. Probably the worst film about the Arthurian legend.

reply

If this is the worst, I'm curious as to which Arthurian movie(s) you find good?

"Occasionally I'm callous and strange."

reply

I have to agree with the negative threads here - it was made like a badly made TV movie - did not enjoy it at all.

Bet you a dollar they say that Clive Owen "Arthur." Pffff!

reply

Just because it's cheesy, doesn't mean it isn't entertaining... If you're asking me would I rather serious and dull, or exaggerated and fun, then I choose the latter, every time!

reply

Man.

I'm usually not one to just get all batsh!t about a comment but: This is a good movie.

Could it have been better..? F yeah!

But, overall, it's the best telling of Arthurian tale to date.

This movie captivated me as a young boy. Would literally hold me spellbound until it ended. Just look at my freaking avatar.

Does it have some rough scenes? Yes. But, with DVD and Blu Ray capabilities--I honestly believe this is one of the movies teens should watch with their folks to keep this type of mythology/history alive. Fast forward the sex scene if it offends you but, the rest is solid mythology. Way better than that "300" and "Troy" BS....those movies are garbage.
